Georgia Hunter
I run a dairy goat farm in Ravenstonedale, Cumbria alongside my parents. I have had a passion for agriculture all my life and always been intrigued into welcoming different and new ways into the industry.
At 18 years old I was accepted for a loan from the Princes Trust with the help of the farmer network to start up my own business selling meat.
In 2018 I left Newton Rigg with a diploma in agriculture and was able to set my foundation stones within the family farm. In my mind diversification was key to move our family hill farm forward and to survive crucial payment cuts.
I am an active member of Pennine Young Farmers and enjoy socialising in this like-minded sector.
