I am a third generation beef and sheep farmer on the family hill farm in East Cumbria. Having completed a National diploma in agriculture at Newton Rigg college I worked at home as well as other farms in the area and travelled to work in New Zealand twice before returning to Newton Rigg in a part time capacity as part of the staff assessing apprentices. Taking more responsibility on the farm enabled me to return home full time and become a partner in 2018. 

Our local Ravenstonedale show is a passion of mine and I have been Chairman for the past 6 years which followed on from my time in YFC and being County Chairman.
