Harrison & Hetherington has announced that plans are in full swing for the 10th Borderway UK Dairy Expo to go ahead as normal.
Despite the recent uncertainties surrounding Covid-19 restrictions, organisers of one of the UK’s largest dairy events, Harrison & Hetherington, have confirmed that Borderway UK Dairy Expo will go ahead as planned on Saturday 12th March 2022.
This year Harrison & Hetherington are celebrating the 10th anniversary of the event, held annually at Borderway Mart, Carlisle. Dairy Expo has become a key industry event for dairy farmers across the UK and Europe and is now one of the greatest events of its kind, regularly seeing in the region of 7000 visitors.
Giving update on 2022’s event, Glyn Lucas, Senior Pedigree Dairy Auctioneer for Harrison & Hetherington and founder of the event, said: “We appreciate there has been some concerns from exhibitors over whether Dairy Expo would run following the recent Covid-19 restrictions. However, plans are in full swing, and the event is all set to go ahead as normal. We will keep in line with Government advice on Covid safety measures which will be put in place if required.”
UK Dairy Expo now prides itself as one of the key calendar events in the dairy industry. It acts as a shop window for breeders and producers and brings together some of the UK’s finest dairy stock. Alongside this, it is also a trade event where businesses within the industry can showcase the latest research, developments and innovative technology that farmers can utilise to improve efficiency and productivity as we navigate the uncertain times ahead.
Glyn concludes: “We have received a fantastic amount of trade stand applications and livestock entries so far, however deadlines are looming so don’t delay if you would like to attend. We have a superb programme scheduled for this year’s event and are looking forward to celebrating our 10th event.”
In addition to the livestock classes, the UK Dairy Expo programme will also include Breed Society shows, demonstrations and seminars, although details of these will be finalised closer to the event.
